Jeroen is innovation manager at Achmea. In this role he works on the future of mobility, collaboration with startups and corporate innovation via:
– horizon three (business model) innovation
– creation of self-driving car (and boat) insurance capability
– connecting the outside world to the internal organization via scouting startups and proof of concepts with technologies like voice and AR
– increasing the innovation culture of Achmea itself via inspiration workshops with colleagues.
Also he has an interest in insurtech developments.
The business model innovation venture concerns a mobility startup that is created together with Deloitte: Tailoride. This venture aims to reposition the role of Achmea in a changing world of mobility, with help of machine learning. Tailoride is being created according to the Lean Startup approach. In this startup Jeroen is co-founter/CTO.
Aim for 2018 – to create a new insurance product without any IT support (something blockchain related).
After being twice the Achmea Intrapreneur in Residence (IIR) at Startuptbootcamp programmes Jeroen nowadays is mentor of startups at different Startupbootcamp programmes.
Furthermore he is participant of the Catalyst Companies innovation counsel, Achmea member for TekDelta and advisory committee member of the European Digital Insurance Summit.
Outside of Achmea Jeroen is boardmember of the Social Media Club in Utrecht, where he co-organizes bi-monthly meetups about subjects related to social media developments.
In a past role Jeroen was co-founder of concepts like Rabo RisiGo; a risk based advise platform for B2B insurance and the Interpolis cybersecurity services portfolio.
